Mauro Lando was very young when he got his first diploma, as undergraduate Industrial Chemistry Technician by Mackenzie School, in his native Sao Paulo, Brazil. He lived most of the 70s and 80s in Europe, specially in Paris , where he attended at then "Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes" the seminars by Christian Metz - "Semiologie et Cinema" and by Edgard Morin - "Ecosysteme et Societe", while working as Tour Manager in European tours, and as a translator in the off-season.

Marcos Pereira

Marcos Pereira has worked since 1992 as a professional Portuguese translator in a wide range of fields, including IT, legal documents, pedagogy, communications, etc. Since 1999, he has collaborated with GlobalEnglish, a California-based company, translating pedagogical material for their English-learning Internet site. Mr. Pereira has also translated technical manuals for the local telephone carrier in Rio de Janeiro, and has translated documents for PETROBRAS, the state-owned oil company of Brazil.
